Share Buttons & AI-powered Summaries — Full changelog For each release, see the entries below. The latest version is always at the top. The current release notes also live in readme.txt under "== Changelog ==". = 2.7.1 = * Improved: Analytics now uses the full width of the screen, with the AyudaWP services banner as a strip at the bottom instead of a side column, as in VigIA. The charts and the two tables have room again, and on a laptop screen the tables sit side by side. The Share Buttons and AI Summary tabs keep the banner in the side column. * Fix: Now and then an AI summary came out in English for a post written in another language. The only language rule was a single line in English asking the AI to match the post, in a request that is otherwise in English too. The language is now named in the instructions and again in the request: the language of the post when Polylang or WPML is active, and otherwise the language the post is written in, with the site language named as the usual one unless it is English (many sites that write in another language never change the default English setting). Quotes, names and technical terms in another language no longer count. Existing summaries are not regenerated: use Regenerate on any that came out in the wrong language. Developers can set the language per post with the `ayudawp_aiss_summary_locale` filter. = 2.7.0 = * New: Custom content inside the summary box, below the summary. Anything fits: text, HTML or scripts, such as an ad (AdSense, Google Ad Manager or any other), a newsletter form, a map or a notice. It can also be left empty for an ad server or Google Tag Manager to fill the space, the element with id `ayudawp-aiss-custom`. It only loads the first time a reader opens the box, so nothing is requested into a folded box, and opening it fires the `ayudawp_aiss_custom_visible` event, also pushed to the dataLayer, so a tag can wait for it. Scripts that queue their work, like AdSense, Google Ad Manager or Tag Manager, work this way; scripts that rely on document.write do not. It shows only on the post's own page, never in listings or feeds, and stays out of Google snippets with the rest of the box. Optional label above it, Advertisement unless you write your own, and optional minimum and maximum heights. Only users who can publish unfiltered HTML can change the content: on a network, the super admin, not the administrator of each site, who sees it read-only. Developers can remove or change it per post with the `ayudawp_aiss_summary_custom_html` filter. * Improved: Qwen now opens with the prompt already written, instead of copying it to the clipboard for you to paste. Checked platform by platform in October 2026: Gemini, DeepSeek and Copilot still offer no way to pre-fill the prompt from the address, so those three keep copying it. * Improved: The block editor panel and the classic box now say when a post is too short for an automatic summary. Since 2.6.0 such a post shows no automatic summary on the site, but the editor kept showing the stored one, and you only found out when Regenerate failed. The notice also says that a summary you write by hand is shown. * Fix: Button labels showed every word capitalized, such as Copiar Enlace or Fuente Preferida De Google, on the site and in the settings preview. They now show as written. * Fix: On a laptop screen, Analytics put its two tables side by side in too little room, so post titles broke into several lines and column headers were cut off. They now sit side by side only when the content column has room for both, and the click columns take just the width they need. = 2.6.0 = * New: Google Preferred Source button. It takes readers to the Google tool where they mark your site as a preferred source, so your stories show up more for them in Top Stories, and Analytics counts the clicks per post, which Google does not tell you anywhere. It is a plain link with your domain in it, so nothing loads from Google until someone clicks. It is off until you tick it, and it can go with the social networks, in a section of its own at the end of the block with an optional title, or outside the block, where only a shortcode that names it shows it. It is not shown on a site that lives in a subfolder or asks search engines not to index it, because Google cannot list those, and the settings screen says so. * New: The `ayudawp_aiss_content_anchors` filter prints the blocks placed before and after the content in theme actions instead of inside the content, for themes that rewrite the content after it is filtered and end up duplicating whatever plugins added to it. Settings keep deciding where the buttons and the summary go, the stylesheet still loads in the head, exclusions and the floating bar keep working, and each block is printed once per page. Without the filter nothing changes: the content comes out byte for byte as before. * New: In Analytics, the click count of each button in the platforms table opens the posts it was clicked from, with the clicks of each, for the selected dates. For the Google Preferred Source button, that is the post readers were on when they chose to add your site, which Google does not report anywhere. The 20 posts with the most clicks are listed, and the CSV export has all of them. * Improved: The copy of the summary settings kept inside the buttons settings since 2.3.0, when the summary got its own tab, is deleted on update, along with the code that carried it over on every save. It was only there to go back to 2.2.x without losing them, so from now on a rollback keeps the summary settings down to 2.3.0. * Fix: Posts with very little text, such as a single image, a video or one line, got as their summary the AI answer saying there was nothing to summarize, and it was shown in the TL;DR box. A post now needs at least 50 words of text, not counting images, embeds, captions or tables, and on sites in Chinese, Japanese or another language that WordPress counts by characters, it is 50 characters. Below that no summary is generated, the visitor button does not appear and no request reaches the AI provider. Summaries already stored for those posts are no longer shown but stay in the database, so lowering the minimum with the `ayudawp_aiss_summary_min_words` filter brings them back. This also hides the good summaries some very short posts had. A summary written by hand is always shown. * Fix: Analytics showed the Copy link and Native share buttons with their internal key, in grey, and the dashboard widget showed Meta AI, Copy link and Native share as Meta_ai, Copy_link and Web_share. Names, colours and types now come from the same list as the settings screen, so a new button can no longer be left out. A few names change to match that list: Claude AI, Mistral AI and Microsoft Copilot. * Fix: When a theme module or a widget left another post loaded on a single post page, the position of the buttons could follow that other post type instead of the type of the post being read. * Fix: With compact mode on phones set to a single Share button, a block with only one button hid it behind a Share toggle that opened nothing else. A block with a single button now ignores compact mode. = 2.5.1 = * Fix: The summary box was never actually kept out of Google snippets and AI Overviews, as the readme promised. Since 2.0.0 the `data-nosnippet` attribute sat on the `
