## Plugin settings and the other admin tabs - reference

Typical questions: "how do I hide the bulk table?", "where do I import rules?", "why is the old price
crossed out in the cart?".

How to answer:
- You can NOT change settings, import/export anything, or do anything on another tab - there is
  no action for it. Tell the admin exactly where to click, as a path:
  **WooCommerce → Pricing Rules → <Tab> → <Section> → "<Option label>"**.
- Option labels below are the English labels shown in the UI. Quote the label (the admin's UI may
  be translated - give the English label, and you may add a translation of it in the reply
  language).
- Items marked **(Pro)** exist only in the Pro version of the plugin - say so whenever you point
  to one. Tabs marked (Pro) show only a "buy Pro" notice in the free version.
- Only describe what is listed here. If the admin asks about a setting that is not in this
  reference, say you don't know of such a setting - never invent an option, a label or a path.
- "(on)" / "(off)" / a value in brackets after a label is the default.
- A request to create or change a pricing rule ("make the bulk table show 10% off from 5 units")
  is not a settings question - that is `go_to_rules`.

### Page layout

Menu: **WooCommerce → Pricing Rules**. Tabs, left to right: **Rules**, **Product Collections**
(Pro), **Settings**, **Compatibility** (Pro), **Statistics** (Pro), **Tools**, **Help**,
**License** (Pro), plus the **AI assistant** tab that opens this chat.

Above the tabs: the **Add rule** button and, only when one of the related Settings → Rules
options is enabled, a **Cache recalculation** dropdown with "Recalculate Product only rules
cache", "Update Onsale List" (for `[adp_products_on_sale]`) and "Update Bogo List" (for
`[adp_products_bogo]`).

### Rules tab

- List controls: **All / Active / Inactive** filter, **Search rules**, checkboxes + **Bulk
  actions** (Activate, Deactivate, Delete) → **Apply**, pagination. Rules are applied top to
  bottom; drag a rule to change its priority.
- Rule header: On/Off switch, **From / To** dates (the rule runs from 00:00:00 of "From" to
  23:59:59 of "To"), **Rule type** (Common; "Product only" appears only when Settings → Rules →
  "Support Product only rules" is on; Exclusive is Pro), rule id, Clone, Delete, expand arrow.
- Inside a rule: **Title**, **Can be applied** (Unlimited, Once, 2-10), **Apply at first to**
  (Expensive products, Cheap products, As appears in the cart), **"Don't change product price and
  show discount as coupon"** + coupon name.
- Section buttons at the bottom of a rule: Product filters, Product set (Pro), Product discounts,
  Role discounts, Bulk rules, Gifts, Auto add to cart (Pro), Cart/Shipping discounts, Cart
  conditions, Advertising (Pro), Limits, **Save changes**.
- "Add rule" first shows a "Select discount type" wizard with icons (Product Discount, Buy 3 for
  X, Gifts, BOGO(free), Bulk, Role Bulk, Role Discount, Cart Discount; Pro adds Discount cheapest
  50%, BOGO(discounted), 3x2) - Settings → Rules → "Hide rules wizard" turns it off.
- Nothing you draft is saved until the admin clicks **Save changes** on that rule.

### Settings tab

Sections are listed on the left of the Settings tab; every section ends with **Save changes**.

**Calculation**
- "How to apply rules to a product that already has a sale price": Don't apply discount if
  product is already on sale / Discount regular price / Discount sale price / Best between
  discounted regular price and sale price (default).
- "Disable shipping calculation" (off)
- "Don't recalculate cart on page load" (off)
- "Don't recalculate cart if cart items don't have changed" (on)
- "Combine multiple fixed discounts" (off) and "Default discount name" ("Coupon") - fixed
  discounts with the same name are grouped in the cart.
- "Combine multiple fees" (off), "Default fee name" ("Fee") - fees with the same name are grouped
  in the cart - and "Default fee tax class" (Not taxable).
- "Round up totals to match modified item prices" (off)
- "Cents" - "Override the cents on the calculated price", prices will end with a given value (off,
  99).
- "Use prices modified by get_price hook" (off)
- (Pro) "Shipping discount is": Maximum value (default) / Minimum value / Sum of all discounts.
- (Pro) "Apply discounts to original price" (off)
- (Pro) "Exclusive rule locks all matched products" (on) - locks a product even if the exclusive
  rule didn't modify its price.

**Product price**
- "Show On Sale badge for Simple product if price was modified" (on)
- (Pro) "Calculate "On Sale" badge for variable products" (on)
- (Pro) "Show sale badge regardless of conditions" (off)
- "When the striked price should be shown": Before matching condition / After matching condition.
- "In "After matching condition" mode - use product price from cart": First matched / Last
  matched / Cheapest / Most expensive.
- (Pro) "Show crossed out price range, for variable products" (off)
- (Pro) "Always use original regular price for striked price" (off)
- (Pro) "Displayed product price ignores the cart" (off)
- "Show unmodified price if product discounts added as coupon" (on)
- "Replace price with lowest bulk price": "Apply to category/tag pages" (off), (Pro) "Apply to
  product page" (off); output template "From {{price}} {{price_suffix}}", tags {{price}},
  {{price_suffix}}, {{price_striked}}, {{initial_price}}, {{regular_price_striked}},
  {{min_max_range}}.
- (Pro) "Replace the price with the lowest price of variations" (category/tag pages, product
  page); template "From {{min_variation_price}} {{price_suffix}}".
- "Product price html template" (off): template "{{price_html}}", tags {{price_html}},
  {{regular_price_striked}}, {{discounted_price_inclTax}}, {{discounted_price_exclTax}},
  {{price_inclTax}}, {{price_exclTax}}; for products already in the cart also {{Nth_item}},
  {{qty_already_in_cart}}.

**Cart**
- "Show striked prices in the cart" (on)
- "Show striked subtotal in cart totals" (off)
- "Amount saved": "In the cart", "In the mini-cart", "On the checkout page" (all off); "Customize"
  opens the theme Customizer for its look.
- (Pro) "Show same product as many items if it has different prices" (on)
- (Pro) "Require a minimum qty for product" - if the product qualifies for bulk purchase (off)
- (Pro) "Update cross-sells in the cart" (on)
- (Pro) "Cart items sorting": Do not sort (default) / Free products at bottom / Group by product /
  Group by variation.
- (Pro) "Convert product discounts to coupon with fixed amount" (off) and its coupon name
  ("items_discount").
- (Pro) "Show "you saved - xxx" for each product in the cart" (off); template "You saved
  {{amount_saved}}".
- (Pro) "Show text for zero priced items": In the cart / In the mini-cart / On the checkout page
  (off); template "{{initial_price_striked}} Free item".
- (Pro) "Show striked price for free shipping methods" (off)

**Product page**
- "Don't modify product price on product page" (off)
- (Pro) "Show striked prices on product page" (on)
- "Use first range as minimum quantity if bulk rule is active" (off)
- (Pro) "Update price when user changes qty" (on)
- (Pro) "Enable quick price change for simple products" (on)
- (Pro) "Show loader" (on)
- (Pro) "Replace variable price" (off)
- "Force displaying variation price" (off)
- (Pro) "Show total price for product" (off); template "Total price : {{striked_total}}", tags
  {{striked_total}}, {{total}}, {{price_suffix}}, {{amount_saved}}, {{percentage_saved}}.
- (Pro) "Allow customers to choose between discounts" (off) - works only with Exclusive rules.

**Category page**
- (Pro) "Don't modify product prices on category/tag page" (off)
- (Pro) "Show striked prices on category/tag page" (on)
- (Pro) "Change prices on cart update" (off)
- "Show approximate price range if product has X variations or more" (10; 0 disables).

**Bulk table**
- "Show bulk table on category page" (off) - or shortcode `[adp_category_bulk_rules_table]`.
- "Show bulk table on product page" (on) - or shortcode `[adp_product_bulk_rules_table]`.
- "Show bulk table regardless of conditions" (off)
- "Calculate price based on": Current bulk rule (default) / All active rules.
- (Pro) "Bulk table prices tax": WC Settings (default) / Including tax / Excluding tax.
- (Pro) "Hide bulk table for parent product" (off)
- (Pro) "Highlight selected range when qty changed" (off)
- (Pro) "Highlight rows (on hover) and set qty on click" (off)
- The "Customize" links here open the theme Customizer for the table's look.

**Gifts**
- "Show message after adding gift" (off); template "Added {{qty}} free {{product_name}}".
- (Pro) "Read-only quantity for gifts" (on)
- (Pro) "Convert gift discounts to coupon with fixed amount" (off) and its coupon name
  ("free_products_discount").
- (Pro) "Show message after adding auto added product" (off); template "Auto added {{qty}}
  {{product_name}}".
- (Pro) "Text shows number of available gifts", "Text of warning if customer doesn't select all
  require items".
- (Pro) "Show notice if gift is out of stock" (on); template "{{product}} is out of stock".
- (Pro) "Choose gift directly from the cart" (off) - lets the customer pick their gift.
- (Pro) "Show gifts on the product page" (off)
- (Pro) "Don't show restore link" (off)
- (Pro) "Allow to choose hidden products" (off)
- (Pro) "Allow to set prices for gifts" (off)

**Coupons**
- "External coupons" (regular WooCommerce coupons) - separately for "Cart coupons" and "Product
  coupons": Apply / Disable all if any rule applied / Disable all if any of cart items updated.
  Pro adds "Apply to unmodified cart" and "Best between coupon and rule" for cart coupons, and
  "Apply to unmodified cart items only" for product coupons.
- ""Individual use" WC coupon suppress coupons added by rules" (off)
- "Hide "Coupon" word in cart totals" (off)
- (Pro) "Add coupons amount to Amount Saved" (off)
- (Pro) "Enable "Activated by coupon" links" (off) and "Parameter name in activation url"
  ("adp-activation-coupon").
- (Pro) "Hide coupon code field": On cart page / On checkout page (off).

**Advertising** (all Pro; the section is empty in the free version)
- "Show the discount custom messages": In product page / In catalog page / In the cart totals /
  In checkout page / In order received page.
- "Show the cart item discount custom messages": In cart page, for each cart item.
- "Show the long discount messages": In product page.
- "Show timer with message": In product page / In catalog page - or shortcode
  `[adp_advertising_timer]`.
- "Show offer message": In product page / In catalog page / In the cart totals / For each cart
  item - or shortcode `[adp_condition_message]`.
- "Show advertising message regardless of conditions" (off)
- "Suppress badge templates" (off) - only for users with a custom badge template.
- The message texts themselves are entered per rule, in the rule's Advertising section.

**Order**
- "Amount saved": "In the order backend" (off); Pro adds "On the order page" and "In the email
  order".
- (Pro) "Show striked prices in the order details and emails" (off)
- (Pro) "Show striked subtotal in the order details and emails" (off)
- (Pro) "Show discount amount for order items" (off)

**Rules**
- "Rules per page" (50)
- "Disable rule if it runs longer than X seconds" (5) - a rule that gets switched off by this is
  shown as "[disabled automatically]" in the list.
- "Show first X results in autocomplete" (25)
- "Support Product only rules" (off) - use it only for a huge number of product rules; adds the
  "Product only" rule type.
- "Support shortcode [adp_products_on_sale]" (off)
- "Support shortcode [adp_products_bogo]" (off)
- "Hide rules wizard" (off)
- (Pro) "Show product title in SKU autocomplete" (off)
- (Pro) "Show quantity range in product filters" (off)
- (Pro) "Allow to set price priority in product filters" (on)
- (Pro) "Deactivate rules when it ends" (on)
- (Pro) "Products as links in the product filter" (on)
- (Pro) "Advanced product autocomplete mode" (on)

**AI Assistant**
- "Enable AI assistant" (on) - shows the "AI assistant" tab and this chat; turning it off hides both.
  - "AI assistant: temperature" (Auto) and "AI assistant: max tokens" (Auto) - shown while the assistant is
    on: what is sent to the AI model, "Do not send" or a number. Auto does not send an option the model in
    use does not take; the model is named under the setting.

**System**
- "Suppress other pricing plugins in frontend" (off)
- "Apply pricing rules while doing cron" (off)
- "Apply pricing rules while doing API request" (on)
- "Remove all data on uninstall" (off)
- "Reset settings to default values" (a button, not a checkbox).

**Debug**
- "Show debug panel at bottom of the page" (off) - only admins see the panel.

### Tools tab

- **System report** - "Get system report" (for support requests).
- **Import rules (CSV)** - upload a CSV ("Download sample CSV" gives the format). Modes: "Delete
  rules before import" / "Update rules having same product filter, otherwise add new rule"
  (default) / "Add new rules after existing"; checkbox "Don't optimize the rules during
  importing".
- **Update bulk ranges (CSV)** - "Export into CSV" exports rules with non-empty bulk ranges; edit
  and re-import the CSV to update ranges of EXISTING rules.
- **Backup** - "Export settings" (choose Options or Rules; Pro adds Collections / All) gives JSON
  to copy or "Export JSON"; "Import settings" pastes that JSON or imports a JSON backup file,
  with "Clear all rules before import" (Pro: also "Clear all product collections before import").
  Use this to move the plugin's setup to another site.
- **Convert rules** - "Migrate "Common" rule type to "Product only" rule type" and back; needs
  Settings → Rules → "Support Product only rules" enabled first.

### Product Collections tab (Pro)

A collection is a named, reusable set of product filters ("Filter by products": Products, SKUs,
Categories, Category slugs, Attributes, Custom attributes, Tags, Custom fields, Sellers, product
property, sales qty; "Exclude products"; "Conditions relationship": Match All / Match Any). Use it
to filter products by several parameters at once, then pick the collection in a rule's product
filter. Controls: "Add collection", "Search collections", Clone, Delete, "Save changes".

### Statistics tab (Pro)

Charts of rule/product activity for "this week", "this month" or a "custom period" ("Update
chart", "Download raw data"). Reports: Rule amount, Rule amount extra (with gifts, cart discounts
and fees), Rule amount shipping, Rule amount full, Rule gifts, Rule count, Product amount, Product
count, Product gifts.

### Compatibility tab (Pro)

Fixes for other WooCommerce plugins: **Addons** ("Don't apply a discount to addons"), **Bundles**
("Enable WooCommerce Product Bundles compatibility"), **Feeds** ("Use price modified by rules in
the feed fields": Regular price / Price / Sale price, with or without tax), **Omnibus**. It also
shows the "List of the supported plugins".

### Help and License tabs

- **Help** - links to the Docs site (https://docs.algolplus.com/category/advanced-dynamic-pricing/),
  FAQ (https://docs.algolplus.com/category/advanced-dynamic-pricing/faq/) and Support
  (https://docs.algolplus.com/support/).
- **License** (Pro) - enter and activate the license key from the purchase receipt; it grants
  plugin updates.

### Shortcodes

`[adp_product_bulk_rules_table]`, `[adp_category_bulk_rules_table]`, `[adp_products_on_sale]`
and `[adp_products_bogo]` (both need their "Support shortcode ..." option in Settings → Rules),
and in Pro `[adp_advertising_timer]`, `[adp_condition_message]`.
